Terms & Conditions

Payment – Credit or debit card details are required for all reservations. These are held securely in our PCI-DSS compliant system. For ‘advance purchase rate’ reservations, full non-refundable payment is taken at the time of booking. For ‘standard rate’ reservations, full non-refundable payment is taken seven days prior to arrival.

Cancellations & Amendments – ‘Advance purchase’ reservations cannot be amended once booked and no refund will be issued should you need to cancel for any reason. ‘Standard rate’ reservations can be cancelled or amended for free up to seven days prior to arrival, after which full payment will be taken and no refund will be issued if cancelled for any reason. Should you wish to transfer your ‘standard rate’ reservation to an alternative date after payment has been taken, credit can be issued if the date(s) of the original booking(s) are re-sold. Credit must be used within 3 months from the original reservation date. Please note that this option will only be available if a minimum of 48 hours notice (prior to reservation date) is given. Rates fluctuate daily so there may be a premium to pay if credit is put towards the cost of an alternative date. Cancellations for bookings made through our website must be made via email to hello@theyardinbath.co.uk. Once you have received your cancellation confirmation, your booking will no longer be valid.

Incidentals – Any incidental charges or damages are payable on departure or from the card held on file. We advise guests to take out appropriate travel insurance for the duration of their trip.

Smoking – We operate a strict no-smoking policy. Should evidence be found of smoking in the bedrooms (or anywhere else on the premises), we reserve the right to charge a fine of £200 from the card held on file for additional cleaning.

Check out – is 10am. Failure to check out on time may incur additional charges.

Parking – must be reserved in advance and is charged at £15 per night. If using our car park, we require it to be vacated by 10am on the day of check out. Guests who require parking for longer, or need to use their vehicle during their stay should use Charlotte Street long stay car park (BA1 2NE).

Children & Infants – infants (under the age of 2) are permitted to stay for free in a provided cot. A cot is subject to availability and must be requested at the time of booking. A cot can only be put in a superior or deluxe room type. Infants must be declared in the total number of occupants at the time of booking and must be accompanied by at least one adult over 18. No bedrooms can accommodate an extra bed for children (over the age of 2) and two bedrooms are to be booked in instances when there are 3 occupants (including one child over the age of 2). We reserve the right to cancel a booking without refund should a guest fail to inform us that they are bringing a child or infant or if they have booked a room type that cannot accommodate this.

Dogs – are not permitted to stay in any of the hotel bedrooms however are welcome in the public areas of the hotel.

Group Bookings – Due to the size and layout of our hotel, and for the experience of all our guests, we limit the number of rooms which can be booked as part of one party to four rooms. We cannot accommodate a booking of more than four rooms. If a group of individuals have booked separate rooms and these exceed four rooms, we reserve the right to cancel the reservations. We do not accept hen or stag parties of any size.

Accessibility – The building is listed and therefore we are unable to install a lift. Bedrooms are spread across four floors. Unless requested otherwise at the time of booking you may be allocated to a room on one of the higher floors. Staff are on hand to help with luggage should you require assistance.

Location – We are located in central Bath and cannot guarantee that any of our rooms will be free from day-to-day street noise.

Gift cards – have a 12 month validity period from the date of purchase and can only be redeemed on bookings made directly with the hotel. Gift cards cannot be redeemed on bookings made through a third party agent. Guests must call the hotel to redeem their gift card. We cannot accept a gift card through a booking made through our website.
