Bath 2024: our Guide to the best events in Bath and Beyond

Bath has a busy events calendar year round, whether it’s a night watching comedians or a stroll around a local National Trust garden, we’ve listed our top recommendations for the remainder of 2024 below. 

April:

  • Bath Comedy Festival, April 1st-21st 2024. Enjoy hilarious nights at Komedia Bath, a comedy club a short walk from The Yard hotel https://www.bathcomedy.com/

May:

  • Dyrham Park, a National Trust property a short drive from Bath hosts a floral explosion at Tulip Mania at Dyrham Park. The meticulously landscaped gardens are bursting with vibrant tulips.
  • Immerse yourselves in the renowned Bath Festival, May 17th. From captivating theatrical performances to world-class music, the festival offers something for every taste. The Yard’s Insider Tip: Book room 8, which has a private balcony, and enjoy a post-festival tipple in the Spring sunshine. 
  • Embark on a journey of flavour at the Willett Bourbon Whiskey Tasting at Independent Spirit of Bath. Sample a selection of fine bourbons and learn about the distilling process. 2nd May, event details are here.

June – August:

  • Treat yourselves to a decadent Bottomless Brunch at Green Park Brasserie. Think endless flowing drinks and delicious food to fuel your day of exploration. (Available most weekends)
  • Foodies Festival at Royal Victoria Park. Sample foods from across the world, and enjoy live demonstrations and workshops. 7th June – 9th June, 2024.
  • Celebrate the wonders of the natural world at the Festival of Nature. This event offers a variety of activities, from guided walks to wildlife encounters, perfect for reconnecting with the great outdoors. 1st June 2024 – 9th June 2024.
  • Experience the magic of Forest Live at Westonbirt Arboretum. Immerse yourselves in the beauty of the forest while enjoying a live concert by a top musical act. Multiple dates in July.

September:

  • If you’re a fan of discovering fresh artistic talent, don’t miss the Contemporary Artists’ Fair at Green Park Station. Explore a diverse range of mediums, from paintings and sculptures to photography and ceramics. It’s the perfect opportunity to find a unique piece for your home, directly support the local art scene, and experience the creative energy of Bath’s artistic community. 8th Sept 2024, 10:00 -17:00.
  • Enjoy live jazz at the Somerset Jazz Festival at Radford Mill Farm. This renowned festival features talented musicians from around the world. 7th Sept, 2024.
