Bath is a city steeped in history, elegance, and of course, a healthy appreciation for a food. But what about when that craving for a crisp glass of fizz collides with the need for a satisfying weekend brunch? Fear not, for Bath boasts a great selection of brunch spots that cater to grown up palates, minus the sticky fingers and high-pitched squeals.

For the Socially Inclined:

Green Park Brasserie: Nestled within the charming surrounds of a converted train station, Green Park Brasserie offers a vibrant atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends over bottomless prosecco brunches. Tuck into classic eggs Benedict or a decadent brunch burger, all while soaking in the lively buzz.

The Ivy Bath Brasserie: if you’re feeling a bit fancy, The Ivy Bath Brasserie is your spot. This place oozes sophistication, with a menu of modern British delights perfect for a special occasion brunch. Get lobster thermidor or a decadent steak and eggs – all served in a beautiful setting on one of Bath’s grandest streets.

For the Foodie Fanatic:

Upstairs at Landrace: The upstairs space at this famous bakery, offers a relaxed morning brunch spot before lunch service starts. From 9am to 11:30am (Tuesday-Saturday), swing by for a casual pick-me-up of delicious Round Hill Roastery coffees or a selection of Post Card teas, all perfectly paired with fresh bakes straight from the ovens. Pair it with a glass of their expertly-sourced natural wine for a truly decadent experience.

Edesia Restaurant & Lounge: Craving a taste of something different with your bottomless fizz? Edesia has got you covered. Tuck into their South American-inspired brunch menu, featuring delicious dishes like hearty beef croquettes or fresh poached eggs with black beans and ancho chilli on sourdough. Plus, enjoy 90 minutes of bottomless prosecco, mojitos, or Aperol spritzes.

Brunch on a budget:

Mes Amis: Mes Amis is a licensed cafe and deli, perfect for brunch on a budget. Their breakfast menu is served from 9am-10.30am Monday to Friday, and until 11am on Saturdays, and has pretty much all the classic brunch staples including smoked salmon, avocado, poached eggs & toast.

Beyond the Yard:

While The Yard in Bath offers a fantastic brunch experience (we wouldn’t steer you wrong!), Bath’s culinary scene extends far beyond our walls. Here are a few additional gems to consider:

The Green Bird Cafe: Renowned for its locally sourced ingredients and innovative dishes, The Green Bird Cafe serves up a brunch menu that’s as delightful to the eye as it is to the palate. Plus, on a warm day their outside seating is idyllic.

The Walcot: Located on busy Walcot Street, this brunch, lunch and dinner spot offers an interesting menu of brunch classics alongside more unusual options.

Remember, Bath gets busy

Bath’s most sophisticated brunch offerings can be very popular, so reservations are highly recommended, especially at weekends.
