Things to do in Bath during Autumn

Bath really suits Autumn and the city is a great place to fully embrace the start of cosy season. Walking through the picturesque streets with a coffee watching the leaves slowly change colour is a wonderful way to spend a relaxing weekend, plus the city  much quieter than in the Summer, so you can explore at your own pace.

Savour Autumnal Flavours

Bath is a food lover’s dream in Autumn. The local farms are bursting with fresh, seasonal goodies. It’s a testament to Somerset’s farming skills.

  • Discover local farm shops: Explore Newton Farm Shop and Cafe, Hartley Farm Shop and Kitchen, and Allington Farm Shop for a wealth of seasonal produce, artisan cheeses and breads, and local ciders.
  • Eat local: Indulge in the crisp sweetness of local apples and pears, or locally grown pumpkins and root vegetables. You can even pick your own pumpkin at Avon Valley Pumpkin Patch or at Newton Farm.
  • Sloe Gin Season: As Autumn arrives, look forward to the release of the season’s new sloe gins. The Bath Gin Distillery offers a tasting tour on Saturdays at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm, and on Sundays at 2pm & 4pm.
